As an Asian American, this show was inherently relevant to me and my life experience. In my capacity as senior set designer, I strove to create a home that would feel true to the Wang family and also provide many interesting sight lines for the production team.

This limited series about the rise and fall of tech entrepreneur Elizabeth Holmes had many sets and locations, but its jewel was the Theranos Page Mill location. The tech headquarters’ open plan bullpen utilized over a third of its 60,000 sf total footprint, with demolition plans preceding the construction documents. As lead set designer, I developed set pieces like the modular clustered workstations that conveyed forward thinking and provided visual interest.
